The Mission hosted an Interserve Rickshaw Tour

In June 2007 a team from Interserve drove a motorised rickshaw from Iona on the West coast of Scotland to the Kent coast to raise support for Lamb Hospital in Bangladesh and a street children’s project in Mumbai.

The Mission provided a venue for the tour as it passed through London, and the autorickshaw attracted a great deal of interest in nearby Brick Lane www.therickshawtour.org

‘Fun In The Sun’ Summer Project

Fun In The Sun

For the past ten years the Mission has run a week-long Summer project for children and young people living on the nearby Collingwood Estate. As in previous years, the project proved very popular, providing positive activities during the holiday time and contributing to building cohesion among young people and their families from different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Christmas Lunch

Following our Christmas Day church service the Mission hosted a lunch for residents of nearby warden-controlled housing, Rochester Court, and other people living locally who wanted to join in. It proved an enjoyable time for all.
